How to Use iCloud Photos on Apple TV’s Screensaver

It was proved that iPhone camera is good. So, you definitely take photos with it and either store them on your iphone or save them to iCloud to be accessed later. As an Apple TV user, did you ask yourself one time if you can use your iCloud photos on Apple TV’s screensaver? Surely. Wonder you can do it? Yes, you can.

Today, I’ll show you step-by-step how you can do it unless you can be familiar with iCloud and how to use it. unlike that, all steps should be as simple as copy paste for you.

Note:
  • You should have some photos stored on your iCloud
  • You should know your credentials to access your iCloud account
  • This task is performed your TV, not on your iPhone or PC.
  • You should activate your iCloud photos enables (you can do it by here (Settings -> iCloud -> Photos -> iCloud Photo Library). )

HOW TO USE ICLOUD PHOTOS ON APPLE TV’S SCREENSAVER

STEP 1 : SIGN IN TO YOUR ICLOUD ACCOUNT ON YOUR APPLE TV

If you want to use your iCloud photos on your Apple TV, you should synchronize your iCloud account with yourApple TV, means that you should sign in to your iCloud Account on your Apple TV. You can do it by heading over Settings -> Accounts -> iCloud and Sign In then enter your iCloud ID and password.


Note: You can download the free remote app to perform this entering task in ease because of the hard way to do it with your Apple TV remote.

Tap continue and enter your password. Once done, congrats you are signed in into your iCloud account on your Apple TV.

STEP 2 : TURN ON PHOTO SHARING AND PHOTO STREAM

Once signed in to your iCloud account, you’ll have a screen giving you the ability to active (turn on) photo sharing and photo stream. Enable these features by turning them on.

STEP 3 : ENABLE YOUR PHOTO SCREENSAVER

You should switch the default Apple tv screensaver. For the fourth Apple tv generation (Settings -> Accounts -> iCloud and Sign In.)


For older Apple TVs head over Settings -> Screen Saver -> Photos.

Head over the screensaver section and go to type, you’ll notice that aerial is the default option.


In type, select my photos then choose photo stream or any albums you have shared.


After you’ve chosen your album or photo stream, you need to set it up as a screensaver or as a slideshow. The difference is that slideshow will play the same as screensaver but with swiping multiple photos automatically.


Confirm your screensaver.


Head over Settings -> General -> Screen saver and make sure My photos appears as a screensaver option.
